Protect private information
Do not post Social Security numbers, VA file numbers, addresses, medical records, phone numbers, banking details, passwords, or unredacted benefit letters. Avoid disclosing health information you would not want the public to see.
Be respectful and accurate
Do not harass, threaten, impersonate accredited representatives, advertise unauthorized paid claims assistance, or share misleading guarantees about outcomes. Clearly distinguish your own experience from official requirements.
Useful answers
Where possible, include a link to an official VA resource, a regulation, or an accredited organization. Avoid telling another veteran exactly what to claim or promising an award percentage.
Report problems
Use the “Report” action on a question or reply. Reports are reviewed by the site operator after moderation tools are configured. In the local demo, reports stay on your browser only.
Community content and moderation
Posts on a live public forum may be indexed by search engines. Members can remove their own posts; site administrators must provide a clear contact path for additional removal requests. Community moderation and spam controls must be active before public launch.
